This delightful frozen peach margarita combines the sweetness of fresh ripe peaches with a tang of lime and the kick of tequila for a delicious and oh so simple to make drink.
I’m usually an on the rocks kind of margarita girl. Regular or “lime” as they sometimes say. With salt around the rim. However I heard of a margarita recipe using fresh peaches blended with ice and not a peach syrup so I was intrigued. Peach pie is my all time favorite and peaches are in season at the moment and tequila is my all time favorite and it’s always in season so…I made this frozen peach margarita and now I’m in love….
Ingredients for a peach margarita
Fresh peaches- you can also use frozen or canned peaches, if you must
Tequila
Triple Sec or Cointreau
Peach schnapps
Lime juice- fresh squeezed
Ice
Recipe
Frozen peach margarita
(serves 1)
2 large peaches, cut into chunks
2 ounces tequila
1 ounce triple sec or Cointreau
1 ounce peach schnapps
One ounce lime juice, about 1 lime
Margarita (or coarse) salt for the rim, optional
Lime wheel or wedge for garnish, optional
Take lime and rub around the rim of a glass and dip the rim of the glass in the salt. Set aside.
Place peach chunks, tequila, triple sec, peach schnapps, and lime juice in a blender. Pour into the salt rimmed glass and garnish with a lime wedge to make it look pretty.
To health, wealth, and happiness! Cheers!
