Just 3 simple ingredients- apricot brandy, sour mix, and club soda- combine to make this super tasty, refreshing apricot fizz cocktail.
This drink is like an apricot sour and just add club soda. So super simple and easy and delicious.
Ingredients for apricot fizz
Apricot brandy is moderately sweet with obviously notes of apricot and hints of almonds. When paired with sour mix it gives a very sweet and sour combination that is then combined with club soda to even out the balance and to give it some fizz.
Using homemade sour mix is preferred. You can always use store bought sour mix but I feel that sometimes it’s too sour and not as “fresh” tasting as homemade sour mix.
Making your own sour mix is easy. Just combine sugar, water, and equal parts lime juice and lemon juice. The mix keeps for up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator if you want to make a big batch. The sour mix recipe is listed below in the cocktail recipe.

Recipe
Apricot fizz
(serves 1)
2 ounces apricot brandy
2 ounces sour mix
1-2 ounces of club soda
mint sprig (optional)
For sour mix-
1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/2 cup lime juice
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine apricot brandy and sour mix. Shake well. Pour into a rocks glass and top with club soda. Garnish with a mint sprig is optional. I basically used it for the pictures.
Sour mix- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/2 cup water and a 1/2 cup of sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Bring mixture to a simmer 1-2 minutes. Let cool and add 1/2 cup lemon juice and 1/2 cup of lime juice. Stir and keep in an air tight container in the fridge for 2-3 weeks.
