As the air gets cooler and the leaves begin to turn, there’s nothing quite like a cozy, warming cocktail to help you settle into the season. If you’re a fan of rich fall flavors, this baked raspberry apple cider cocktail is the perfect drink for you. It’s sweet, tart, and full of comforting autumn spices.
This cocktail is the ultimate cozy drink for fall. I just love warm apple cider. And a spiked variation is even better. Years ago I posted about this very simple warm bourbon apple cider cocktail. And then last year I posted another very basic 2 ingredient warm apple cider with peanut butter whiskey. Sooo good! But this year I upped my game and I’m using a 4 ingredient warm apple cider drink. I know, I’m gettin fancy.
If you’re not into warm drinks or your area is experiencing a heat wave, you can always serve this drink over ice. It will be just as delicious, but with a refreshing twist.
Also, if you want your drink a little sweeter, add a dash of maple syrup before stirring.
Ingredients for baked raspberry apple cider cocktail
Apple brandy- brings the rich, smooth essence of baked apples and caramel to the forefront
Chambord- adds a touch of berry sweetness that balances the tartness of the apple cider
Apple cider- provides a soothing base that brings all the fall vibes to this drink
Cinnamon stick for garnish- not only looks festive but also adds a warm spice that rounds out the flavor profile. An added bonus- it acts like a spoon to stir the ingredients together
Recipe
Baked raspberry apple cider cocktail
(serves 1)
2 ounces apple brandy
1 ounce Chambord
4 ounces apple cider
Cinnamon stick for garnish (optional)
First, heat the apple cider in a small saucepan over medium heat. You want it warm, not boiling. Second, in a heatproof mug or glass, pour in the apple brandy and Chambord. Gently pour the warm apple cider into the glass. Garnish with a cinnamon and stir everything together.
To health, wealth, and happiness! Cheers!
