Boston Cream Martini

This is an updated post, I originally posted this in March of 2019. I decided to update this post with new pictures for national doughnut day!

Because a boston cream doughnut is my favorite kind of doughnut so why not make it into a cocktail!

So I’m having a little debate with myself over this martini.

Is it better to eat your calories or drink your calories?

Normally I would say drink your calories.  Because that’s a lot more fun and I seem to be able to lose some weight using this method.  However, this martini has more calories than the doughnut.  I was slightly surprised by this. 300 calories for the doughnut vs. 380 calories for the cocktail.

The doughnut with coffee sounds heavenly and would be quite filling.  But only temporarily.  And it always leaves me wanting to eat more doughnuts.  The martini on the other hand wouldn’t be as filling but with 3 and a half shots of alcohol would give me a nice fun buzz that would last for a little while.  Decisions, decisions
