Because every Monday deserves a margarita. And not just any old margarita, but a Cadillac margarita. We deserve the very best, right? I also just bought these really cool margarita glasses so I wanted to showcase them with a fancier drink. I bought the glasses at Pier One. They are sturdy, heavy duty and a pretty blue and green color. And they were on clearance! I just love Pier One. I wish I could decorate my whole house with their stuff. Especially for every holiday. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to do that so when I find really awesome things on clearance there, I get annoyingly overly excited. And then annoy share it with you.
So I bet you’re wondering why it’s called a “Cadillac” margarita. It’s because of the top shelf liquor. Use a good quality tequila and grand marnier instead of triple sec. Both are orange flavored but grand marnier is a top shelf orange cognac instead of just an orange liquer. So go all out and get your fancypants on and celebrate.
Cadillac Margarita
2 oz top shelf tequila
1 oz Grand Marnier
1 1/2 oz fresh lime juice or Rose’s lime juice
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Pour into a margarita glass. Salted rim optional. Garnish with a lime wedge to make it look pretty. Grab your chips and salsa and enjoy!
