Captain America shot

Also known as the American flag shot, this Captain America shot is just the darn tootin coolest looking shot. And it tastes good too!

I can’t show this shot from any other angle because then you can’t see the layers. Subsequently, I was going to make a video or “reel” of this shot and although it was easy to make, it was rather messy. Perhaps I should say, I’m rather messy. All you have to do is pour 3 half ounce shots of liqueur into a shot glass. But the last 2 layers you have to pour onto the back of a spoon so that you get the beautiful layered effect. For some reason this was relatively difficult for me and I made a mess. But it worked out in the end.

Ingredients for Captain America shot

Grenadine

Creme de cocoa

Blue curacao

When you combine these 3 ingredients it gives chocolate cherry vibes with a hint of orange. Which equals delicious.

Recipe

Captain America shot

(serves 1)

1/2 ounce of grenadine

1/2 ounce creme de cacao

half ounce blue curacao

You can chill each ounce of liquor separately if you would like but it’s not necessary.

Take a shot glass and pour in the grenadine. Next, take a spoon and slowly pour the creme de cocoa over the back of the spoon into the shot glass. Lastly, pour the blue curacao slowly over the back of the spoon on top of the creme de cocoa and grenadine.
