I’m on a roll with these protein shakes.  It’s that time of year after all.  When everybody under the sun decides to join a gym and it’s crowded as shit when you try and get your workout in and really annoying because you know in about 2 months these people aren’t going to show up any more.  Or in my case, 1 month.  I won’t be showing up either because my gym is closing!  I may have mentioned that here.  There’s a few pieces of equipment at the gym that’s closing that is not at the other gym I belong to so I’ve been hitting the gym I hate anyway that’s closing to get in a few more good hard workouts.  My boyfriend and I did a killer leg workout so afterwards I made us a killer protein shake.  It was funny when we were working out and all anybody could talk about was “so what gym are you going to go to now?”  One of those annoying life decisions you have to make because of no control of your own.  Three gyms in 5 years.  I feel like I’m talking about a job (don’t get me started) or moving into a house or apartment.  But when you spend as much time as we do at the gym it can feel life changing.  I got fat the second time I changed gyms.  Like I’m talking a good solid 8 lbs straight to my booty and not in a good way.  So anywhoo, I still have my other gym that I like it’s just slightly farther away so hopefully I keep on my game and don’t get fat again.

But let’s divert our attention to this shake….

I’ve been seriously craving a thick chocolate milkshake or even a blizzard.  So I threw together this protein shake and boy oh boy did it hit the spot.

Chocolate cookie dough peanutbutter banana protein shake
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 scoop cookie dough protein powder
1 banana(frozen)
2 cups almond milk
2 Tbl peanut butter
Place all ingredients in a blender with 1 cup of ice. Blend well. This recipe makes 2 shakes and can easily be halved if it’s just for you alone.
