The moscow mule is a timeless cocktail, beloved for it’s refreshing blend of ginger beer, lime juice, and vodka. But as the holidays roll in, why not give this classic a festive makeover? Enter the cranberry vanilla moscow mule, a drink that’s equal parts tart, sweet, and spicy. With it’s pretty reddish hue and rich vanilla undertones, it’s perfect for everything from cozy gatherings to glitzy parties.
Ingredients for cranberry vanilla moscow mule
Vanilla vodka- gives the drink a smooth, dessert-like quality
Cranberry juice- delivers a tart, tangy punch
Lime juice- fresh squeezed preferably for the best flavor
Ginger beer- it’s spicy, fizzy kick balances the sweet and tart notes of the other ingredients
Fresh cranberries and a lime wedge- for garnish, optional
Copper mug- optional. It’s the quintessential way to serve a moscow mule but I like to take my pictures using a regular glass so that you can see how pretty the drink is.
If you’re hosting a party, you can scale up the recipe and serve it in a pitcher but only use the vanilla vodka, lime juice, and cranberry juice. Save the ginger beer and let the guests top their own drinks for maximum fizz. It’s vibrant flavors and festive presentation make it a hit at any gathering from Friendsgiving dinners to New Year’s Eve celebrations.
