These focaccia toast appetizers are such a great snack that can easily be thrown together with just 4 simple ingredients. Great for any last minute get togethers or as a happy hour treat.
These focaccia toast appetizers are so super simple. This post is not sponsored but I basically got all of the ingredients at Delallo’s- an Italian marketplace. The focaccia toasts come prepackaged and I just broke them in half. I bought a small tub of mascarpone cheese and a jar of fig jam. I also used sliced prosciutto.
You could use any kind of jam. I picked the fig jam because it just pairs so well with the creamy mascarpone, salty prosciutto, and the crunchy focaccia toasts. It’s just so good and so simple to make.
If you don’t have focaccia toasts or can’t find them, you can use toasted bread like you would for bruschetta or crostini.
Also, you can use any kind of jam- maybe an apricot or a cherry. Or try several different kind of jams for a nice little variety.
Focaccia toasts appetizer
(serves 4-6)
1 box focaccia toasts( or 1 baguette of bread thickly sliced and toasted)
8oz tub mascarpone
4oz thinly sliced prosciutto
fig jam
Break the focaccia toasts in half and place on a serving platter. Spread about 1 Tbl of mascarpone on toasts. Top with half of a slice of prosciutto. top prosciutto with 1/2 Tbl of fig jam.
Enjoy!
