This gorgeous, well balanced golden dawn cocktail uses a combination of ingredients that are not too sweet and not too fruity.
This drink is considered one of the classics or at least a vintage classic. Having won “World’s Finest Cocktail” in the United Kingdom Bartender’s Guild contest in 1930. Subsequently, this drink is also unique in that it uses all equal proportions which is something you don’t see very often in cocktails. The mix of ingredients lends itself to being along the lines of a tropical cocktail or at least a fruity concoction but in an understated way. The drink also looks very elegant, like a sunrise or sunset, depending on which direction you’re facing.
Ingredients for golden dawn cocktail

Dry gin
Cointreau- you could also sub triple sec. I’ve also seen this recipe not use any orange liqueur.
Apricot brandy- or an apricot liqueur
Orange juice- fresh squeezed highly recommended
Grenadine
cocktail cherry- for garnish
