This iced protein mocha is the perfect blend of coffee, chocolate, and protein. And it’s so stupid simple to make and so tasty.
I’ve been trying to add more protein into my daily diet and I actually have been finding it a bit hard to do. Enter this iced protein mocha. Combining the bold flavors of coffee, the richness of chocolate protein powder and the creamy goodness of milk, this drink is perfect for post workout recovery, an afternoon pick me up, or a nutritious on-the-go-breakfast.
Why I love this Iced protein mocha?
A caffeine boost- the coffee gives you a much needed energy boost to power through the day
Protein powder- the chocolate protein powder adds a delicious flavor and helps repair and build muscle
Satisfies my sweet tooth- the combo of chocolate and milk helps curb my cravings for sweets
Ingredients for iced protein mocha
Like I said earlier, it’s so stupid simple and only requires 3 ingredients plus ice
Coffee- brewed and cooled or use a cold brew
Chocolate protein powder- use your favorite brand ( I like Truvani)
Milk- of your choice (I used goat milk)
Additional add ins-
Throw in a frozen banana and blend it all in a blender for a smoothie
Add in some peanut butter because nothing compliments chocolate like peanut butter
Go over the top and add some whipped cream or cold foam to the top
Iced protein mocha
(serves 1)
1 cup brewed coffee, cooled (or use cold brew)
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/4 cup milk of your choice, add more or less to your taste
Ice
First, in a shaker or mason jar with lid, add coffee and protein powder. Shake really well. Second, pour into a glass filled with ice. Third, top with milk and gently stir.
