Mango margaritas

I just couldn’t help myself.

I already posted a blackberry margarita recipe for Cinco de Mayo on Tuesday, but then I thought of a frozen mango margarita Mikey had last year at a local Mexican restaurant that was so freaking good. I’m not much about the frozen margaritas- except for this peach one here and the cherry one I made here. But the mango one Mikey had was exceptionally tasty, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So I just had to make one(or two). Plus, just like I mentioned on Wednesday, I’m feeling better from my mystery illness so I’m like totally excited to get back into life and not live under the blankets on my bed. So of course this calls for more cocktails and just in case we are meeting for the first time- Hello, my name is Lisa and I love Tequila. And Mexican food. So now that I’m feeling better, I’m sharing another margarita recipe with you for one of my favorite (non) holidays Cinco de Mayo!

What’s really nice about this recipe is once again, it’s all fresh ingredients. Fresh mango, fresh lime juice, tequila, and Grand marnier. Combine that with ice and you have the perfect frozen mango margarita!

If you can’t find a fresh mango, frozen mango chunks work just as well.  But if you do find a fresh mango, all you have to do is cut it into cubes. Then squeeze out the lime juice and add your liquor and boom zap pow! The most tasty, heavenly margarita.

I think I say every margarita is heavenly, but like I said at the beginning of this post- I just can’t help myself.
