Maple pear margarita

The crisp tart pear flavor combined with the sweetness of the maple syrup makes this margarita taste very smooth and very delicious. This is another one of those drinks that remind me of fall. Pear being a “fall” flavor and for some reason the taste of maple syrup being a fall flavor even though it’s tapped from trees in the spring. Maybe it’s because one of my favorite foods is pumpkin pancakes with maple syrup and I eat those come fall. I don’t know, maybe I’m just rambling… or hungry.

The maple syrup stands in for any simple syrup needed. And if you use pure maple syrup like I did, it’s loaded with antioxidants. There’s nothing like some vitamins with your cocktails!

I had a hard time deciding if I should salt the rim of the glass. In the end I opted not to because I think it overpowered the drink too much. But feel free to do it yourself. Or better yet, make 2 and have a taste test.

You should try this one. Seriously, this margarita is actually really good. Sometimes I surprise myself when I create a drink and it turns out to be really tasty. This was one of those times.
