This drink called a nuenas tardes is light and refreshing. It has a slight sweet, sour, and tart taste that mixes well with the tequila.
This recipe comes from the Playboy Bartender’s Guide by Mario Thomas. I saw the recipe and needed to know how this would taste. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s only 3 ingredients and they pair well together. It kind of reminds me of a spiked lemonade but not too sour. Or an adult apple juice but not too sweet,
Ingredients for nuenas tardes
Tequila- I used a silver tequila. You can also use a mezcal.
lemon juice- I used fresh squeezed
apple juice
The name of this drink means “good afternoon.” At least I think it does. Buenas tardes also means good afternoon in spanish. And google was not very helpful in the meaning of nuenas tardes. It led me down a TikTik rabbit hole where things were #nuenastardes but I couldn’t understand what they were saying or singing as was the case in a few of the videos. So anywho, here we are. And spell check does not like the name of this drink at all. Excuse me. I didn’t name it.
