Strawberry Margarita

aka a strawberry margarita for the frugal mom of a toddler picky eater

This margarita was made not only because I was being frugal but also out of desperation. Or maybe I should say frustration. Or all of the above.

My 3 year old son is a very picky eater. He wasn’t always as picky as he is now. And yes I’ve heard of and read about all of the different ways to get your child to try new foods or eat different things and blah, blah, blah. My son is VERY stubborn. Hence why I needed this margarita. I have to pick my battles. His doctor also said that at this age it’s very common for kids to be this picky. So I do feel better about that. Or maybe a margarita just makes me feel better about everything.

So one of the few things my son will eat is strawberries. Every week when I go grocery shopping I buy about 3-4 pounds of strawberries. And depending on the season or who knows what else these days-(shipping, freight, delivery, lack of workers…) the price of strawberries can be outrageous. And then what really sets me off is when the $6.00 per pound of strawberries isn’t even any good. They’re too hard or too sour or they’re already getting moldy. Ugh! So what’s a mom to do besides throw out all these expensive strawberries?

You make a frozen strawberry margarita of course!
