Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I made us this awesome drink because everybody’s Irish today.
I saw this drink on Pinterest a while back and couldn’t wait to try it. It reminds me of an Irish car bomb shot which I love. I don’t normally do shots when I go out to bars or clubs. However, when I do, it’s either tequila or an Irish car bomb. Now the Irish car bomb shot is a 1/2oz of irish cream and a 1/2oz irish whiskey in a shot glass that you “drop” into a 1/2 glass of Guinness. So when I saw the Tipsy Leprechaun I thought it sounded heavenly because there’s everything that’s in an irish car bomb PLUS ice cream AND chocolate syrup. I mean it doesn’t get any better than that.
I was never a big St. Patrick’s Day party goer but we have a really big party every year at the bar where I work . I’ve worked a few of the party’s over the years and they’re really fun even when I’m working. Green beer, green jello shots, everyone wearing green for the biggest adult drinking day of the year. How can that not be fun?
Tipsy Leprechaun
1oz irish whiskey
1oz irish cream
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1oz chocolate syrup
6oz Guinness or enough to fill the glass
Put chocolate syrup around inside of glass. Place 2 scoops ice cream in glass. Add irish cream and irish whiskey over top of ice cream and fill glass with Guinness. I recommend carefully stirring the drink to mix all the flavors together.
Now go get your leprechaun on!
