just a few things I’ve been up to lately……
Jackson’s kindergarten teacher is like the best ever. This week one day they watched the Polar Express and she gave each student this adorable gift that came with a note that said- In your package from the North Pole you get- a bell from Santa’s sleigh, a pack of hot chocolate and spoon from the head chef, a scarf made by the elves, a stuffed animal sewn by Mrs. Claus, and a journal from Santa’s library. It’s so cute! I never saw the Polar Express and neither did Mike so we all watched it on Christmas day. Along with my favorite movie on repeat- A Christmas Story.
Making treat bags for his Christmas party. No food allowed.
20 treat bags!
Kitty cat and matching kitty cat socks
It’s a bestest Christmas party! IYKYK
Leaving out a cookie, carrot, and milk for Santa and his reindeer
Elvira Kittypants trying to eat/lick/rub herself all over the cookie and carrot. She probably would’ve tried to drink the milk but it was almond milk.
And the moment he’s been waiting all year for- Merry Christmas!
He woke up at 3:30 in the morning. I don’t think he fell back asleep but we didn’t get out of bed until 6:30
He loves to draw and make books and tell stories. He got this make your own comic book set and it’s the first thing he played with. (And he looks tired but he was just making a face)
Asher in a box
Speaking of boxes, he got all of these toys for Xmas and like a typical kid- he’s playing with the box instead. Actually it’s kind of a funny story- his Uncle Al wrapped up some empty boxes and gave them to him and said I got you a box of air for xmas and instead of Jax being upset he was all excited because he uses boxes all of the time to make his own board games and he had been wanting to make a puppet show. And this was all his idea- even taping the characters to popsicle sticks to make the puppet show.
Gave each Kitty a catnip toy with a little catnip on the side and they sat the closest they ever were to each other. This pic makes me laugh because Elvira looks like she hit the ‘nip a little too hard.
They made this coaster in school and wrapped it up and when he brought it home from school he spent about an hour making the card, the note, and the book. Then he put it in a bag and wrote mom and dad’s gifts on it and put tissue paper in the bag and “hid” it from us until xmas morning. It’s the greatest xmas gift ever!
Speaking of great gifts- we made this book and printed it at solentro.com and gave 1 to family and friends. He was so, so, so, excited to make, get, and give the books out. We had so much fun making the book together too.
An excerpt from his book. It’s sure to become a Xmas classic some day
And that’s it! Another wonderful, fabulous, fantastic week in the books!
Hope you have a great week ahead and Happy New Year!
