just a few things I’ve been up to lately…..
Last Friday , walking Jackson home from school, we saw a dandelion growing in our neighbors yard. It’s the middle of January. Like what?
Asher playing the fish game on my tablet
He’s obsessed with beanstalks and Jack and the Beanstalk and has a folder of cut out and hand drawn beanstalks. Then he wanted to build a Lego beanstalk.
Not bad for a 6 year old. The blocks in the back are to hold the “clouds” in the sky.. I had to help a bit with the beanstalk to keep it from falling over but the castle in the sky and the beanstalk itself were all his idea.
Snow over the weekend!
We had a painting party. I bought us canvas kits at Michael’s. It was a lot of fun.
Mikey’s not done yet (the snowmen ). He’s the true artist amongst us and starts to get meticulous so it takes him longer.
Asher swats at Jackson sometimes when he gets all rambunctious and running around. Well she swatted at him on Sunday and he got really mad. So he got this box and put a blanket in it with her catnip toy and said, “Here, May May (her nickname) this is your house now. You’re going to live here.” And she proceeded to go in the box which he then covered in pillows and she’s basically living in that box now. She loves it.
More pet shenanigans. Foxy 2.0 in the corner of the cage checking out Elvira watching him.
Jackson loves to make his own books and comics and his latest obsession is making board games,
He also fell in love with the movie Polar Express and since he calls himself a hamster he made this train the Hamster Express.
He also loves all things Christmas so he wanted this board game called The Christmas Express. It’s kind of like Candyland. We play it a lot. I don’t mind it.
I love when I find pictures on my phone that he takes and I have no idea about. Like this one.
And this one.
So he was off from school on Monday for MLK Jr Day. It was like 18 degrees F so we didn’t leave the house. Then on Tuesday it was freezing and we got a few inches of snow so school was cancelled. We played outside in the snow even though it was only 15 degrees F. He just loves the snow.
And that’s it! Another wonderful week in the books!
Hope you have a great week ahead!
