just a few things I’ve been up to lately…..
It was another busy week for us.
First up, Home Depot DIY kids workshop
I forgot his apron and to wear an old shirt and he got paint all over it (whomp whomp)
The finished product- they even gave us the carrot seeds to plant in it
Then we were off to the library to learn about shadows and the eclipse. They read the book Moonbear’s Shadow and we used a flashlight and some objects to talk about shadows. Plus we got free eclipse glasses.
It was really cute! The orange thing is the bear that we were supposed to experiment with shadows but all he wanted to do was stick him in the tree???
He wanted me to take a scary picture of him
Next up, cousin Gracie’s 1st birthday party!
They rented a soft play area for the kids and Jax had a blast
And then the “attack” happened
She could not get enough of her cousin
And he loved every minute of it!
Then we had a wedding. Margaret (Daniel Tiger’s little sister) married JJ (from cocomelon). Jax, Teddy hamster and Cookie hamster were in the wedding party. Everyone was dressed in their finest and we of course had cake (leftover cupcakes from Gracie’s party)
Then it was time for the eclipse! We had about a 95% eclipse in our area. It was actually really cool. And I saw my local grocery store selling these cookie cakes for $10.49 so I decided to make my own.
And after the real eclipse, we had to play eclipse. His imagination is too much sometimes
And last but not least, we had to cut the grass with dad

And that’s it! Another fantastic week in the books! (and Happy Birthday Trixie!)
