just a few things I’ve been up to lately……
We practiced riding his new bike

We went on a field trip as Jax likes to call it

CSA haul- lettuce, romaine, kale, garlic, rhubarb, snap peas, dill, and fennel (I put mine back because I hate fennel)

It was this vinyl paint kit. Mine is the sun, Nay’s is the star, and Jax’s is the moon- just like his favorite “Dreamworks” moon
Too big for his trailer, and not quite ready for a long ride on his new bike, I found this attachment 2 years ago and after Mike’s bike was stolen last year, we finally fixed this other bike he had and put the attachment on it and it’s PERFECT! Can’t wait to try it out on the bike trail when it’s not 95 degrees and to take it to Lake Erie to ride on our vacation soon. Jax had fun riding it around the neighborhood testing it out.
Our caterpillars turned into butterflies this week! There were 5 but only 3 ended up making it. We kept them in the enclosure for 1 day and then released them. It was pretty cool to see the life cycle.

Cheeseburger salad and then I put some of the meat mixture on romaine leaves and ate them that way too. It was like our 4th salad of the week …
She can’t take the heat but doesn’t want to come inside for the air conditioning (or at least she will sometimes at night).
