just a few things I’ve been up to lately……
It snowed over the weekend around my neck of the woods. Not like big snow or even accumulating snow but enough that it covered everything and big fat flakes fell and I decided not to leave my house at all on Saturday. Not even for the gym. It was actually pretty nice. I got a lot of stuff done that day even though I wanted to hibernate under the covers.
I made homemade pizza Saturday night. It was super good. Mikey said it was one of the best pizza’s I ever made. I used my mom’s dough recipe and topped it with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, black olives, and banana peppers. I would share the recipe with you but I’m still trying to figure it out myself. I think I’m getting pretty close though, because it was really, really good.
I had a lot of dough so instead of freezing it, I decided to experiment and make a deep dish pizza in my cast iron skillet. I baked it at 450 degrees and didn’t watch it closely enough because I burnt it slightly. It didn’t taste burnt at all but was a little crunchy. I’m thinking that I may need to add extra olive oil to the pan to help crisp it up or something. I’m not sure yet but it actually tasted not too bad. Next time I’m going to add more toppings as well.

So let’s talk TV-We are not watching Fear the Walking Dead. I finally watched the last 2 episodes of Downton Abbey. We tried to watch Billions and The Girlfriend Experience on Showtime but we had technical difficulties and I spent over 1 hour on the phone with the cable company. WAAHHHH!!!
So finally after it was fixed I put on The Girlfriend Experience and I think I like it. It’s different. I know that’s not a really good review but they are 1/2 hour episodes and I’m thinking I need to see a little bit more.
