just a few things I’ve been up to lately…..
1. Jon Snow is ALIVE! Jon Snow is ALIVE! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. If you don’t watch Game of Thrones, start now. From the beginning and binge watch. And forget I told you Jon Snow is ALIVE!
2. So there’s 3 holidays all in the same week. I’ll call them holidays even though one of them isn’t. And I would call them all drinking holidays except this year Mother’s Day isn’t for my Mom because she’s still recovering from knee surgery. And I’m not a Mom, so it’s not my holiday. I’ll probably still have a drink for her though. Haha. The other 2 are Cinco de Mayo and The Kentucky Derby. (The Derby not being a real holiday.) I love watching the Kentucky Derby. I like watching all of the stories hours before the race about the horses, trainers, owners, etc…And then to see all of the people at the race in their finest outfits and the crazy big hats of course. It’s insane that there’s so much leading up to the race and then it’s like not even 5 minutes long. My mom loves watching the Derby too and was supposed to have a Kentucky Derby party this year but couldn’t because of her knee. My friend Ricky used to bet on the horses for the race and would ask me to pick one to bet on with him, so it was always exciting to see if one of our horses would win.
3. I mentioned I was having some health issues that was rendering me completely useless, well I finally got some relief in the form of medication and get this- a gluten free diet. WAAAAHHHHH!!!!
My first thought wasn’t oh shit, now I can’t have bread and pasta. It was oh shit, no more pumpkin beer. Or any beer. It’s so wrong and yet so me. Just keeping it real. I was literally just saying to Mikey that we have to grab my bestest Trixie and go to a local brewery because I just saw that they have raspberry beer right now and I like me some flavored beers. Plus they have this huge parking lot and they have food trucks parked there on the weekends. Well now that fun plan went to shit. No beer. No food trucks. WAAAHHHHH!!!!I’m hoping like hell that this is only temporary. Which it very well may be. Keep your fingers crossed. It’s not life threatening and might be just until I get my body back on track. Please, please, please…
