Just a few things I’ve been up to lately…..
- She’s 40! She’s 40!!! My best friend who ALWAYS wants to know why I don’t talk about her on my blog turns 40 TODAY!!!! So I’m definitely gonna talk about her today because she’s the big 4-0!! HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY ELAINE!!! Lordy lordy Elaine is 40! My BFF since childhood or at least since we were tweenagers. Oh the stories we have to tell and blackmail each other with….
- Making pico de gallo or as chipotle calls it, mild salsa. I made this with tomatoes from my garden and it was the absolute best batch I have ever made. Pico de gallo, lime tostitos, guacamole and my peach margarita. Perfection!
- Babysitting this cute little old girl. Her name is Kitty and she could be Elvira Kittypants older sister.
- Reading A Perfect Heritage by Penny Vincenzi. Her books are novels of epic proportions but they suck you in and you can’t put them down. No matter how heavy the book is. She’s a British writer and her books are like sweeping family saga’s. Or kind of like soap opera’s. My mom and I just love her books.
- My nephew turned 16 over the weekend! Boy is my sister OLD. Can’t believe she has a 16 year old. (I might add that Elaine has a 16 year old too. You remember Elaine who’s turning 40 today!!) My nephew is saving up his hard earned money to buy his first truck. A Chevy truck that is. With a sound system. Too funny.
- And once again I want to talk about Elaine today. Because we need to talk about her everyday (according to her). So yes , Happy 40th birthday Elaine!!!!
- Today is also my bestie Melissa and her husband Ben’s anniversary. They were married on 9-9-09 at Myrtle Beach and boy was that a super fun wedding! Happy Anniversary!
