what up wednesdays

just a few things I’ve been up to lately……
1. It’s pumpkin beer season!!! Trixie and I had a so called pumpkin beer tasting while watching football on sunday. We tried 3 different kinds and our favorite was one called Block House Brewing Pumpkin Ale that was recommended by the guy at the beer store where I bought it. It was very pumpkin tasting. I was checking out the bottle to see where it’s made, and it turns out it’s brewed and bottled about 20 minutes from where we live. So cool. It’s officially part of my buy local, drink local project. Haha.
2. I already read one of the books I chatted about last week- It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover. I initially thought this book was going to be a real simple read and kind of predictable, but I was wrong. It was really different than what the back of the book explained. And in a good way. After I finished it, I started reading Truly, Madly, Guilty by Liane Moriarty. Now this book was reviewed a lot in my local newspapers recently so I just had to buy it. What keeps me reading is that “something happened” at a BBQ and the book goes back and forth from the bbq and present life and from all the characters perspectives. I’m almost halfway through the book, and I still don’t know what happened at the bbq. But it’s keeping me very interested.
3. I haven’t been watching much TV lately. Gearing up for Fall I suppose. I want to watch the new HBO show “Divorced” coming out in October because Sarah Jessica Parker plays in it. SJP forever! Speaking of SJP, I’ve been doing my cardio to reruns of Sex and the City. Oh and let’s not forget- The Walking Dead is coming back on again in October!!! OMG. Oh, Oh, and I cannot forget that I cannot wait to watch Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party premiering this fall on VH1. I’m sooo excited!!!
