just a few things I’ve been up to lately…..
1. Of course I just have to start off with The Walking Dead. After 6 months and about 15 minutes, finally we find out who Negan killed. I don’t want to ruin anything by being specific because there’s a certain someone who is behind and not caught up on season 6. Soooo, I just have to say that it was still a nail biter of an episode because I wasn’t sure if Rick was having flash backs and then the next day I read a recap that said they were flash forwards and now I’m all scared again. It was just so gruesome. I mean I’m so used to the zombie killing that it doesn’t bother me anymore, but that shit on sunday was just too much. And that last scene where Rick is imagining all of them sitting down for dinner. Oh the tears. Damn you Walking Dead.
2. On a lighter TV note, Danielle finally agreed to a divorce instead of an annulment on 90 day fiancé. Ok sorry, I just had to throw that in so I would stop thinking about #1 above. Oh Oh, almost forgot- we finished Ray Donovan over the weekend. Not sure what it was about the first 6 episodes that we just weren’t that into, but the last 6 episodes were really good and I’m glad we finished watching the show. My parents don’t have Showtime so they bought the first 3 seasons on dvd Ray Donovan: The First Season and became totally addicted.
3. Last week for 1 last birthday celebration, myself, Trixie, and Elaine who turned 40+1 went to the movies and then out for a bite to eat. And drinks of course. We saw The Girl on the Train and it was so very good. I mean like really really good. It made the book The Girl on the Train better because of the actors. All of the actors. Especially Emily Blunt because when I read the book I had a hard time liking the main character but Emily Blunt does such a good job that I changed my mind. I very rarely ever say I like a movie as much as the book but this is most definitely one of those times. The only other time I recall saying that is Cold Mountain. Loved the book Cold Mountain , loved the movie Cold Mountain . But yes, I highly recommend seeing The Girl on the Train. Even if you haven’t read the book. Plus it had been a minute since I read the book and I kind of forgot some of the things that happened.
This was an epic failure of a candy corn protein shake I spent about an hour trying to make. The sad thing was that I couldn’t even get it to taste good. Wah!
And then this happened not once but TWICE!
I wish I could say it was from a wild night of dancing and partying for my birthday. But I can’t. I was cleaning while wearing the ones with the little heel and cooking in the ones with the big heel and they just fell apart on me. Cheap shoes obviously but they were 2 comfortable pairs and I’m pissed they broke. Double WAH!!
