Just a few things I’ve been up to lately….
1. I just absolutely have got to start off with The Walking Dead and the little bit of Daryl side butt we got to see!!! A naked Daryl and not just a flash of. Like a full scene! And practically a whole episode of Daryl too!!! You thought I was going to talk about the election didn’t you. Oh hell no! Priorities people! Yea, so sunday’s episode was quite interesting and had me on the edge of my seat every time Negan came around Daryl. Or should I say Negan and Lucy because apparently they are 2 separate people. I also remembered why I love binge watching tv shows, especially TWD, because while I knew who Dwight was I just could not really even recall just who the heck Sherry was. So I was glad for the little back story because I was getting really confused. It happens a lot though especially with Game of Thrones. Ugh.
2. I am not and will not talk about the election. Except to say that I was bartending last night and all of my customers were glued to the TV with the results coming in and voicing their opinions. The saying is correct that you should never talk politics in a bar. Nothing bad happened, but it was kind of annoying. I’m also not going to say whether I’m happy or sad today or voice my opinion over the results because unless you are a very close personal friend I don’t give two shits what you think about the election and you shouldn’t care what I think either. That may sound harsh but just like not mixing alcohol and politics, you shouldn’t mix blogging and politics. Just sayin. Ok so maybe I’m just venting at some of the social media shade people are throwing all over the place randomly. Like in a comment section of a food blog complimenting the food then telling everyone your going to go cry in bowl of said food because of the election results. Or that nice little pic of your family where all you can say is your going to protect their future and raise them to be better men than you know who. Hey, how about protecting your family by not plastering them all over social media. Ok I’ll stop now. Let’s just all come together as a country and celebrate the end of the election commercials every 5 freaking seconds on TV!!!
3. Mikey was sick this past week with a sinus infection that caused his 1 eye to swell shut. He had to go to MedExpess 2 days in a row and now to an eye doctor. So I’ve never had a colicky baby (I don’t even have kids) but I feel like I’ve now had the joy of experiencing what that would feel like. OMG. Sick grown men are the absolute worst! Sorry darling but I’m keeping it very real here today on this blog post.
4. Oh and since I’m being totally bitchy feisty today, let me tell you about my bright idea to drive into the city on Saturday to shop at Whole Foods and Trader Joes and to pick up our favorite sushi which is 5 minutes away from Whole Foods. You don’t actually have to drive into the city to get to these places, there’s an alternate route. Which is the exact route EVERYONE had to use because our parkway was closed for the weekend and dumbass me totally forgot. A simple 1 1/2 hour round trip including shopping time at 2 stores took 3 1/2 hours. Complete with a growling barking dog in a car next to mine with the window half way down so that I had to crawl over my passenger side to get back into my car so as not to get bit. But I got our favorite sushi and Whole Foods honey roasted peanut butter which is my very favorite and I drank a whole bottle of wine that night when I finally made it home.
