what up wednesdays

just a few things I’ve been up to lately…..

1. Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is some energy and motivation. And to not get seasonal depression, which judging from this blog, has already set in. Oh and maybe some grammar lessons so that I can stop writing in run on sentences.
2. TV talk- Thank goodness The Walking Dead redeemed itself and it was a really good episode and I’m sure something HUGE will happen this week so that we have to wait 2 months for it to come back on again and obsess over it and read all the theories on the internet. All I’m going to say about it though is Negan holding Judith…EEEP!!! I was scared. Ok, so I didn’t get to watch last night’s episode, but This is Us…I just love. Love, love, love.
3. So I attempted to make us a red pepper jam margarita…

I don’t like spicy or jalapeno margaritas so I thought I would try using this red pepper jam that I found. I used gold tequila and some orange liquor and lime juice and was all excited to taste it. Nope. Fail. Couldn’t get it to taste right and the color looked gross. Wah.
4. So I met my girl Trixie for coffee the other day and I’ve seen people wearing hooded sweatshirts with leather jackets in a cute casual but not sloppy look. So I tried to replicate that look and I pulled out my “vintage” SJP Bitten faux leather jacket. I wore it over a hooded sweatshirt and I thought I looked pretty cool. Until a few hours later while I was xmas shopping, I noticed that the whole jacket started to peel. Especially where I was carrying my purse and shopping bags. I no longer looked cool, I looked homeless.

I’m so upset! I loved that jacket.
5. Need a Christmas idea for someone who loves to read??? I’ve talked about these books before but I just have to mention them again..

The Bronze Horseman series by Paulina Simmons. Such an epic love story with a lot of Russian history. At the end of the last book of the trilogy, I cried. Like totally bawled because it was over and because it was just such a great story.
