just a few things I’ve been up to lately….
Of course we had to make some red, white, and blue m&m cookies for the holiday weekend!

They were just mini fireworks we set off in the daytime. He goes to bed before dark. HA!
The next day was fun with red, white, and blue bunch a balloons. That face is one of mischief because he soaked the camera man(mom) every chance he got.

I haven’t talked books in a while. Mikey is still reading and loving the Dune series of books. He just finished God Emperor of Dune which is #4 in the 6 book series.
I bought him Heretics of Dune the #5 book in the series for Father’s day and he is just a few pages away from finishing it.
I’m trying to read fiction again!! I started this book over the weekend and so far I like it. It came highly recommended by my mom AND dad who both read this book a few months ago. My mom even put a note in it asking for it back which means she thinks it’s really really good and worth keeping.
When I say I’m trying to read fiction again, I get into these certain “moods” shall I say where I simply can’t get into reading no matter how much I love it. It’s as if I can’t concentrate on the book or it won’t hold my interest. It’s really frustrating to me when this happens and one of the reasons why I have at least 100 books on my bookshelf from my mom that I haven’t read yet.
I mentioned this book back in February or March. This is non fiction/self help and what I have been reading before bed every night off and on again for the past few months.
Let’s talk tv! I haven’t done this for a while either. 2 of my favorite shows came back on 2 weeks ago- No Demo Reno on HGTV and Southern Charm on Bravo. No Demo Reno gives me so many ideas and inspiration to do my own house. Like every time I watch it I want to remodel my kitchen and paint all my cabinets. I’ll let you know if I ever actually do it.
