This woo woo champagne cocktail combines the tart, fruity flavors of a classic woo woo cocktail- vodka, peach schnapps, and cranberry juice with bubbly, crisp champagne.
The drink is super simple and tasty. It stars off with the vodka, peach schnapps, and cranberry juice and then you just top it off with champagne. A perfect little drink for your valentine’s day. And the name says it all! *Wink Wink!
The woo woo is actually a really good drink. Vodka and cranberry is a staple drink and peach schnapps is always a mild, flavorful mixer. Some recipes say to add lime juice and to garnish with a lime. I opted for the basic recipe and left out the lime juice and lime since I was adding champagne. Said to have originated in New York in the 1980’s, it’s rumored that every time the bartender would serve a woo woo, he would yell “woo woo!”
Years ago I had a little get together at my house and I stumbled upon a recipe for the woo woo cocktail so I decided to make that my signature drink for the party. It was kind of comical because I had a little too many woo woo’s and I kept going around asking everyone all night long if they wanted a woo woo. “Do you want a woo woo?” Hey, how about a woo woo?” Have you ever tried a woo woo?” I was kind of annoying. I think you had to be there but you get the gist. HA.
