  • 1 1/2 oz pecan bourbon, or regular bourbon recipe to follow
  • 1 oz rumchata
  • 1/2 oz creme de cacao
  • 1 oz half and half or milk of your choice
  • 1 tsp maple syrup to rim glass
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pecans to rim glass

For pecan bourbon

  • 1/4 cup pecans
  • 3/4 cup bourbon

Instructions

  • Place maple syrup on a plate and dip the rim of the glass into the syrup and then into the chopped pecans. Set aside.
In a cocktail shaker with ice, add rumchata, creme de cacao, pecan bourbon and half and half. Shake well. Pour into a martini glass- or any glass rimmed with pecans.

For pecan bourbon

  • First measure 1/4 cup pecans and place them in a small pan over medium low heat. Secondly, cook pecans for approximately 5 minutes turning the pecan over about halfway through. Watch carefully so that they don't burn! Let the pecans cool. Lastly, add the pecans to 3/4 cup bourbon and place in a sealed container. Let sit for about 3-5 days. Strain the pecans when ready to use. I actually chopped up the bourbon soaked pecans to use to rim the glass,
