So I know last week I made a cocktail that I said was like fall in a glass, but this cocktail could be named indian summer in a glass. Because right now in my neck of the woods it is indian summer in November. And it is gorgeous out. I’m talking like 75 degrees outside gorgeous. Like why can’t I live somewhere that this is just normal fall weather in November? This cocktail I made us today is cool and refreshing while being all “fall” like with it’s apple slices and apple cider. This cocktail came from a cookbook called “The Rancho de Chimayo Cookbook.” It’s a restaurant in New Mexico and there was an article in my local newspaper about it with a recipe for this cocktail and I cut it out and saved it and then found it recently when I was unpacking and I thought oh I never did try this and it sounds good and it has tequila in it which is my favorite. So here it is.
Apple cider tequila cocktail
2 oz gold tequila
6 oz apple cider
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/4 oz crème de cassis
apple slices
cinnamon sugar to rim the glass
Place all ingredients in a glass filled with ice and stir.
