It’s a cookie exchange here at itsmyhappyhour. Ok, so I’m not really exchanging cookies with anybody. But it’s that time of year and this is the first year in quite a few years that I’m not baking pies and pumpkin rolls and selling them for xmas so I get to make a lot of cookies this year and I cannot wait! Don’t worry though, I’m not going to share my cookie recipes with you. Instead, I’m going to have a “cocktail” cookie exchange!!!! A few drinks inspired by cookies. After all this blog is mostly about cocktails right….
First up are sugar cookie shooters. I always wish I could decorate sugar cookie cutouts with royal icing in all those fancy cute professional ways but I lack the patience to even remotely try and decorate them. Like zero tolerance. I still do not understand how I make pie dough. Like how is it possible to accomplish that and not even be able to decorate a cookie? So I always just use red and green sprinkles instead. So I embellished these shooters with sprinkles just like I will with my cookies.
sugar cookie shooters
1 oz vanilla vodka
1 oz irish cream
1 oz butterscotch schnapps
1 oz milk (I used original almond milk)
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Pour into 2 shot glasses. Garnish with sprinkles if you want the festive look.
