Just 3 simple ingredients for a fruity spin on a vodka martini.
So I was perusing the Joy of Mixology book and came across this flirtini martini and it said as seen on Sex and the City. Lately, I have been watching a few of the older SATC reruns on E! channel and so I decided to make and post this flirtini martini.
The interesting thing is, after I made it and started to write this blog post, I was doing some research on this cocktail and it turns out that I actually made a french martini not a flirtini.
According to some on the internet, a flirtini is vodka, pineapple juice, and champagne. According to the Joy of Mixology, Diffords Guide (they call it flirtini#1), and others (including myself), a flirtini is vodka, chambord, and pineapple juice.
Whatever you want to call it- a flirtini martini or a french martini, I call it delicious!
Flirtini martini
(serves 1)
2 oz vodka
1 oz Chambord
1 oz pineapple juice
In a shaker with ice, combine all 3 ingredients and shake well. Strain into a martini glass.
