just a few things I’ve been up to lately…..
Oh what a week! First day of preschool and Jackson’s 5th birthday party!
All ready to go to his new preschool for preK-4. This is his favorite pose every time I take a picture.
This is the craft he did on the 2nd day of preschool. He said his teacher helped-did most of it.
This is what he did to the picture when I said I was going to put it in his scrapbook. Can you say behavioral issues? He’s not impressed with preschool at all this year.
20th century fox turned 1 year old this week!
Birthday party on sunday!! It was a “fish” theme. We are going to buy him a fish for his birthday but we haven’t got a chance to go to the pet store yet. We are hoping to this weekend.
Decorating and making food for the party was fun this year. Lots of cool ideas albeit I went way overboard. Plus there were 15 people invited but only 8 were able to make it. The fish balloon arch was courtesy of his Aunt Geena.
I’m going to photo dump all of my food pics and the names I gave them. Most of this stuff I found on Pinterest.
First up- chicken salad croissant sandwiches made to look like crabs
Seashell pasta salad
Veggies and seaweed (spinach) dip.
Potato chips and goldfish crackers appropriately named “fish and chips”.
An Italian hoagie or “sub”.
Meatballs- not in marinara-recipe coming soon that I wasn’t sure what to call them so I named them beach balls.
Fruit salad carved from a watermelon. It’s a big mouth bass. HA.
Pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese icing. These were divine! (I leave out the cloves in the recipe)
I made a large batch of magraritas and used blue curacao so that it would look like ocean water but then also wanted to add fresh mandarin juice so then it looked like brownish water so I called it Lake Erie water. My mom called it creek water. They were really good though, and very potent.

And finally time for cake! He added chocolate sprinkles to his cake. He looks totally zoned out while eating it.
And that’s it! Another wonderful jam packed week! Today is Jackson’s actual birthday. How is my baby 5 already????
