Party shots

This post is a compilation of all different kinds of party shots. I call them party shots because a post titled shots can have so many different meanings. Obviously for a blog about cocktails, it’s exactly what you think it is. Plus, when I think of doing shots, it means I’m ready to party.

Recipes for party shots

Tootsie roll shot

(serves 1)

1/2 ounce coffee liqueur

1/2 ounce orange juice

In a shaker with ice, combine ingredients. Shake well. Pour into a shot glass and marvel over the fact that these 2 ingredients together actually taste like a tootsie roll.

Cinnamon toast shot

(Serves 1)

1/2 ounce cinnamon whiskey(I used fireball)

1/2 ounce cinnamon rum cream (I used orchata)

Combine both ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Pour into a shot glass.

Fuzzy balls

(serves 2)

1 ounce cinnamon whiskey

1 oz peach schnapps

1 ounce orange juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Pour into 2 shot glasses and giggle at the name of the shot.

Some oldies but goodies shots

Kamikaze shots

(serves 2)

1 ounce vodka

1 ounce triple sec

1/2 ounce lime juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Pour into 2 shot glasses.

Alabama slammer

(serves 4)

1 1/2 ounces amaretto

1 1/2 oz southern comfort

1 1/2 ounces sloe gin

1 1/2 ounces orange juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Pour into 4 shot glasses.

Chocolate covered cherry shot

(serves 1)

1/2 ounce coffee liqueur

1/2 ounce amaretto

1/2 oz creme de cocoa

drop of grenadine

Combine first 3 ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Pour into a shot glass. Pour in a drop of grenadine that will sink to the bottom of the glass.

Bubble gum shots

(serves 3)

1 ounce vodka

1 oz banana liqueur

1 ounce peach schnapps

1 ounce orange juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Pour into 3 shot glasses. Even though the color is yellow, it really does taste and smell like bubble gum.
