These zombie brain shots are perfect for your Halloween party. And while they may look disgusting, the taste is not as bad as the texture. Yes, you read that right. The Irish cream curdles and give this shot a texture kind of like a brain.
I originally posted this zombie brain shot here. It was for a Walking Dead season finale party I was having.
I gave my guests a Daryl shot glass as a party favor.
The original post is from my Sunday suppers series I did for awhile years ago (April 2016). I realized that the zombie brain shots were kind of lost in the post so I decided to take new photos and give these shots their own post.
Zombie brain shots
(serves 1)
1/2 ounce peach schnapps
1/2 ounce irish cream
1/4 ounce blue curacao
1/4 ounce grenadine
In a shot glass pour in peach schnapps. Using the back of a spoon, slowly pour in irish cream. Slowly drip in blue curacao and grenadine. Let sit for a few minutes. The longer it sets, the more it looks like zombie brains and the grosser the texture of the shot. Literally like “brains” because the irish cream curdles. Disgusting but really neat to look at and it doesn’t taste bad either except for the whole “texture” thing.
