Peach raspberry shandy

This peach raspberry shandy is a fruity refreshing drink to hold on to that last little bit of summer and warm weather.

A shandy is typically 1/2 beer and 1/2 lemonade. For this shandy I used fresh lemon juice, fresh raspberries, fresh peaches and peach schnapps for an added kick. A very re”fresh”ing beer are the words that keep coming to mind when I try to describe it.

You could also use frozen peaches and raspberries for this if you don’t have fresh. I would thaw the raspberries to release their juices but you could keep the peaches frozen and use them like ice cubes and let them thaw in the beer.

I tried this recipe with 2 different kinds of beer. I used a “lite” beer and a blonde IPA. Both worked really well. I prefer a lite beer but that’s just my taste.

So I recently saw someone on Instagram talking about a radler. I had never heard of a radler (and I call myself a cocktail blogger), Well it turns out that a radler is basically a shandy. Radler is a German name for beer mixied with lemonade or any fruit juice. In France they call it un panache. Whatever you want to call it, I call it delicious!

Peach raspberry shandy

(serves 1)

1 can/bottle of beer ( I like a lite or blonde ipa)

1 oz peach schnapps

2 peach slices

5 red raspberries

1 lemon, juiced

In a tall glass or beer mug, add raspberries, peaches, peach schnapps, and lemon juice. I let this sit for about 1-2 minutes then fill your glass with beer.
