Now this is the way to do a protein shake.
And NO! I did not add rum to my protein shake. At least not the first one. HA! It made 2 servings and Mikey wasn’t home at the time so I was kinda curious if it would be good with rum. So I did it. Oh no I didn’t??!!?? Oh yes I did. I know, I know, it’s totally wrong to add alcohol to your post work out protein shake and blah blah blah but I couldn’t help myself. It’s 70 degrees around here. It’s Friday afternoon and I had a killer workout at the gym so I sabotaged rewarded myself.
As always with my protein shakes, you can substitute 1 cup plain greek yogurt instead of the protein powder.
I totally won’t judge you if you put a shot of rum in it either because oh hello! It’s just divine. And wrong! So wrong!!! But who gives a shit. It’s so good!
Pina colada protein shake
2 cups ice
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 cup coconut milk
Blend all ingredients in a blender. Serves 2. One for you and one for you to share. Or one for you and one for you to put a shot of rum in and enjoy! I’m sorry. I’m such a bad influence. Because in all honesty, it’s awesome without the rum. For real. But it’s Friday. And the sun is shining bright. And we can do extra cardio tomorrow. And I have zero self control. Clearly.
