First, in a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup rhubarb, 1 cup water, and 1 cup of sugar. Stir. Next, bring to a simmer stirring frequently. Let mixture simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat and strain into an airtight container. Let mixture cool completely. Store in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
